Mrs. Betty M. Phifer, age 72, of Arkadelphia, AR, slipped into the Lord's embrace on July 18, 2026, at her home. Arrangements are incomplete and will be announced under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home in Arkadelphia. 

Mr. Clarence Jordan, age 85, of Arkadelphia, AR, passed away on July 7, 2026 at Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia. Mr. Jordan served his country proudly in the U.S. military. He worked for many years as an independent contractor, paving asphalt all over the state of Arkansas. Clarence loved his wife and children dearly. Memorial services and burial will be private honoring his family's wishes.
