Deacon Raymond Green Jr. entered into life’s journey on January 18, 1937, in Bearden, Arkansas; born to the Late Reverend Raymond Green and the late Mrs. Annie Albright in Bearden, Arkansas. He spent his early childhood in Bearden and later moved with his family to Oceola, Arkansas where he completed his education and went on to serve four years in the Military.
Deacon Green’s career includes fifty years of service with the City, County, and state departments of Los Angeles, California where he retired in the year 2000 as Chief Accountant Controller overseeing a budget including millions of dollars and thousands of employees.
Relocating to Arkansas, Raymond met and married the love of his life Jolene Wright. In the month of September 1973, they were joined in holy matrimony. To the union, two children were born completing a family of ten beautiful children who love and respect him dearly.
In relocating back to Arkansas, he and his family united with the First Missionary Baptist Church family of Sparkman under the pastoral ship of his beloved pastor, Reverend Louis A. Craig where he so faithfully and diligently served on the board of trustees, the choir, and as a deacon until his highest calling into the arms and safety of His heavenly Father on Saturday at 12:40 a.m.
