Minister Carl M. Campbell was born October 13, 1954, in Queens, New York. Carl was the third child of the late Carlise Campbell and Willa Dean Campbell.
Minister Campbell spent his childhood and most of his adult life in New York. He graduated from Bryant High School in 1972. Carl later moved to Arkadelphia, AR after attending a family reunion. After moving to Arkadelphia, Carl worked at the Brake Shoe Plant. He then gained employment at the Hospitality Care Center. It was there that he met his future wife Tori Scott. Carl began to attend church with Tori. After attending a revival conducted by Evangelist Frank Anderson, Carl gave his life to Christ. He became a faithful member of the Tate Temple COGIC where he served under Superintendent LeRoy Williams. Carl and Tori were married on November 30, 2002. To this union, one son was born. He was a loyal member of the Tate Temple Gospel Choir, Y.P.W.W President, Hospitality Ministry Worker, and a beloved minister of the gospel for four years. Carl loved Sunday School and he never failed to share his testimony of how he overcame a life of sin. He was gainfully employed at Georgia Pacific for several years until his health began to fail. Carl was full of life and love. He enjoyed talking to people about his life experiences and the word of God. Carl continued to be a faithful witness of the goodness of God even when his health was failing. Carl was called home on June 1, 2018, at Baptist Health in North Little Rock, AR.
