Allie Mae Henderson was born in Gurdon, AR on May 7,1954 to Johnetta Bell. She was raised by Gracie Anderson in Okolona, AR. She graduated from Okolona High School and continued her education at Philander Smith College in Little Rock, AR. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sparkman, AR under the leadership of Pastor Louis A. Craig.
Allie Mae was a hardworking woman. She was employed in the health care industry as a CNA until her health disallowed her to continue in this field.
Allie passed in the Lord’s embrace on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at the Baptist Health Medical Center in Arkadelphia, AR. She was preceded in death by her mother, Johnetta Bell and the mother who raised her, Gracie Anderson, two sisters and one brother.
She is survived by one brother, Billy Ray Johnson (Carolyn) of Texarkana, AR, four sisters, Mae Otis Buckley and Joyce Gill (Luster), of Arkadelphia, AR, Minnie Crutcher of Garland, TX and Elaine Stafford of Maumelle, AR. She is also survived my many nieces and nephews.
Services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Memorial services will be Friday, August 2, 2024 at 11:00 A.M. at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel. Burial of cremains will be in Holly Grove Cemetery in Okolona, AR.
