Annie Mary Thomas

In the summer of July 30, 1956, Uthel and Bessie Mae Bell had a beautiful daughter named Annie Mary. She was the sixth child born to this union. She was a member of New Mount Zion before moving her membership to KACM. She attended eleven glorious years of Bell High. She was a life-long resident of Gurdon.

Annie and Jesse Thomas were joined in Holy Matrimony and to this union, three children were born: Vanita, Tabitha, and Joshua. Later came Preanna Hunter.  She was a life-long CNA worker at various nursing facilities until her health no longer allowed her to work.  She enjoyed football and her favorite team was the New England Patriots.  Her other hobbies included cooking Sunday dinners, holiday meals, watching soap operas, westerns, Price is Right, Let's Make A Deal and all of the Madea movies.  She worked to make sure her children had what they needed and she loved spending time with her siblings and spoiling her grands.

 Annie embraced the Lord's calling her home to Him on Monday, November 11, 2019,  at 2:30 a.m. with her family and friend, Lily at her bedside.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brother (Herbert Bell, Sr.) and two grandchildren (De'Aundre and Jenaya). 

She leaves to mourn her passing, Vanita (Brad) Hatley, Tabitha Thomas, Preanna Hunter all of Gurdon, AR and Joshua (Lakeisha) Thomas of Bradley, AR; fifteen grandchildren; two great-grands; sisters Bessie Rogers, Shirley Loving, Joyce Brown, Ruby Gatlin, all of Gurdon and Barbara Ann Smith and Emma Jean Young of Arkadelphia; brothers Sammy Bell, Andy Bell of Gurdon and Randy Bell of Curtis, AR;  one bonus sister, Lilly Cunningham; friend, Mary Green and a host of relatives, friends and loved ones and the KACM family.
