Billy Blackman

Billy Joe Blackman, 69, of Arkadelphia died Friday June 22 in Arkadelphia. He was born October 17, 1942 in Arkadelphia the son of the late Hosea and Florazel Blackman. He was a retired employee of McDonnell Douglas Corporation, a veteran to the U.S. Air Force and a member of Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where he was a greeter. Survivors include one brother, Samuel Blackman of Arkadelphia; two sisters, Gracie (Willard) Reed and Flora Jean Blackman both of Arkadelphia. Funeral service will be Saturday June 30, at 11 A.M. at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church where Dr. Lewis A. Shepherd Jr. is Pastor/Eulogist. Burial will be in Helms Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Visitation is Friday June 29 from 12 noon to 7 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
