Chase Scoggins Obituary

Chase Mikael Scoggins, born on October 9, 1992, at Baptist Medical Center in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, entered into eternal rest on March 7, 2024, in Dermontt, Arkansas. Chase answered the call of heaven’s trumpets with unwavering faith and a vibrant spirit. He was the beloved son of the late Gremyko Scoggins Sr. and Sibyl Scoggins Davis.

Chase’s infectious smile and compassionate nature endeared him to all who knew him. He had a unique way of connecting with people and was a natural-born helper, embodying the essence of a jack of all trades. His boldness, colorful personality, and zest for life left an indelible mark, and he lived without regrets.

Chase is preceded in death by his Father Gremyko Scoggins Sr. Step Father Kenyatta Coulter, paternal grandparents Earl and Fern Scoggins, maternal Grandfather Elmore Wiley Jr and John Coulter, Uncle and Aunt Caleb and Ruby Brunson and his niece G’Jionni Scoggins.

Chase was known for his busy, creative, and selfless lifestyle, always radiating energy and joy at every gathering. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand, making every chore an exciting and enjoyable experience. His love for his family and friends was boundless, and he cherished every moment spent with them. 

Left to cherish Chase's memory are his beautiful daughters Cadence Michelle Scoggins Nashville AR,, Cataleya Renee Scoggins of Locksburg and ChiAsia Scoggins of Arkansas. a loving mother Sibyl (Samuel) Davis of Madison, Alabama; brothers Gremyko Scoggins Jr. (Nastassi) of Nashville, Arkansas, and Chad Coulter of Madison, Alabama; sisters Gabrielle Scoggins of Madison, Alabama, and Asia Scoggins of San Diego, California; a special brother/ cousin Rodney “Gooney”Bragg; Bonus brothers/sister, Destini Davis, D'Angelo Davis, Torrence Daniel, and Trevon Daniel; maternal grandmother Clevia Wiley of Arkadelphia AR and step Eloise Coulter of Lockesburg AR; Great Uncle Bennie ( Dorothy ) of Dallas Texas. Three Aunts, Sandra ( Willie ) Randle of Stafford VA, Sonja Wiley of Baton Rouge LA , Java Wiley of Tulsa Oklahoma and one Uncle Stanton Wiley of Fayetteville AR. A special Aunt Latricia ( Kevin ) Steele of San Antonio Texas; a treasured God daughter Riley Hubbard and a host of relatives and friends who will miss him dearly.

Chase Mikael Scoggins will be remembered for his generosity, vibrant spirit, and unwavering faith, leaving behind a legacy of love and kindness that will continue to inspire all who were blessed to know him. May he rest in eternal peace .


Funeral services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia, AR. Visitation is Friday, March 29, 2024, at Mitchell Funeral Home from 12 noon- 6:00 p.m. Memorial services will be Saturday, March 30, 2024, at Greater Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Arkadelphia at 11:00 A.M.
