Sister Ethel Dean Edington, of Hampton, AR slipped into eternal rest on December 30, 2016 in her 78th season of life. She was born on November 14, 1938 in Locust Bayou, AR to William Bush Sr. and Nona Lea Bush. She was the oldest of ten siblings. Sister Edington attended Ashley Public School in Locust Bayou, AR and Lincoln High School in Camden, AR. She was a housekeeper and enjoyed keeping everything nice and tidy for different families. Sister Edington loved the Lord and held steadfastly to God’s unchanging hand, giving him all praises until her last breath. She will forever be deeply missed and cherished by all who knew her.
Survivors include: three sons, Ernest (Kim) Edington of Harrell, AR, Elder Kermit (Tammy) Edington of Locust Bayou, AR, and Stanley (Tranace) Edington of Milwaukee, WI; five daughters, Joyce Ann (Elder Benny) Johnson of Arkadelphia, AR, Victoria (Marcus) Hall of Spearsville, LA, Jackie Edington and Janice Morris both of El Dorado, AR and Donnie Mae Edington of San Diego, CA; Parents, Deacon William Henry Bush Sr. and Mother Nona Lea Bush of Harrell, AR; six sisters, Loistene Golden, Mary K. Stephens and Rita (Robert Lee) Junior all of Harrell, AR, Linda Roshell and Jo Ellen Bush both of Milwaukee, WI and Betty (Elder Larry) Tatum of Banks, AR; two brothers, William Henry Bush, Jr. of Milwaukee, WI and Earnest Lee Bush of Houston, TX; 27 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and a host of nieces nephews, cousins and friends.
Public visitation will be Friday, January 6, 2017 at Mitchell Funeral Home from 9 a.m.- 1 p.m. Family Hour will be Friday at Greater Grace Church of God in Christ in Hampton, AR from 4 p.m.- 6 p.m. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 7, 2017 at 1 p.m. in Hampton, AR at the Hampton High School Gym. Burial will be in Macedonia Cemetery in Hampton, AR.
Family Hour will be at Greater Grace Church of God in Christ in Hampton, AR from 4 p.m.-6 p.m.
