Ethel Fuller Obituary

I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. - 2 Timothy 4: 7-8

On September 1, 1924, Willie Goodlow-Williams and Foster Williams were blessed with their 5th child, a very precious daughter, Ethel Marie Williams in Arkadelphia, AR.

Ethel Marie attended school in Manchester and later moved to Oakland, CA in the early 1940s. It was in California where she met the late Dorcey Fuller, Jr., and after a brief courtship they were united in holy matrimony. Ethel was a woman who believed strongly in education. She graduated college with a nursing degree which brought her much pride and joy.  She was a hard worker and after numerous years of labor, she retired from her tremendous nursing career at Kaiser Permanente in the State of California. Ethel Marie was always a loving woman. Caring for others was something that was second nature to her. She took pride later in life becoming a caregiver for her sister, Renel Williamson. She was a woman who loved to socialize and very tenacious. She was a woman full of wisdom, resilience, and full of experience.

At the triumphant age of 101, the sweet spirit of Ethel Marie Fuller came to a close on, Monday, October 13, 2025. She was preceded in death by her parents Willie Goodlow-Williams and Foster Williams; her only beloved son, Lawrence Edward House; two brothers, LeRoy Williams and Charlie Williams; three sisters, Lula Knox, Claudine Luster, and Renel Williamson; one grandson, Lawrence Edward House, Jr.; one great granddaughter, Breanna House, and one great grandson, Lawrence DeAndre House.
She leaves to cherish her beautiful memory: four grandchildren, Stella Hale (Paul), Syleshia House, Deanna House-Frank (Rick), and Daymond House; 10 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
