Eula Mae Crudup was born on December 27, 1930 in Sparkman, AR to the union of James and Elva Butler Hunter.
Eula attended Sparkman training high school in Sparkman, AR. She found Christ at an early age and joined First Baptist Church in Sparkman. She met and married the love of her life, Freddie Lee Crudup on December 20, 1947, and unto this union no children were born. Sister Crudup was a devoted wife for 50 years til death did them part.
Sister Crudup was a hard worker and was employed at Lamp Shade Company as a designer for 29 years in Los Angeles, CA. She loved to cook, dance and with her outgoing personality she was a joy to be around and enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
On Wednesday, March 28, 2018, at Windsor Terrace Healthcare Center, Sister Eula Mae Crudup gave her last smile. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Awaiting her arrival and to welcome her home are her parents; one sister, Elva J. Humphrey; two brothers, James C. Hunter and Pinillos Z. Hunter and lifelong companion, Freddie Lee Crudup.
Those left to cherish her sweet memories include one sister, Norvine Hunter of Los Angeles, CA; her nieces, Brenda Hunter of Los Angeles, CA, Gail (Roosevelt) Wilson of Walnut, CA, Lorraine Robinson and Darcel Fauntleroy both of New York; her nephews, Lawrence (Della) Wright of Carson, CA, Willie Charles Hollyfield of San Burano, CA, Marty and Sterling Humphrey of Schenectady, NY and a host of cousins, extended family and friends.
Services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, AR. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, April 13, 2018, from 11a.m.-5 p.m. Funeral services will be at First Baptist Church Sparkman, AR on Saturday, April 14, 2018, at 11 a.m. where Rev. Louis A. Craig is pastor and eulogist. The body will lie in state for viewing from 10a.m.-11a.m. Burial will be at Centerpoint Cemetery in Sparkman, AR.
