Frederick Wright "Buck" Obituary

Frederick Douglas Wright was born July 25, 1958, the 4th of 7 children to Bonnie Faye Wright. He was affectionally known as "Buck". He departed this world surrounded by family on September 9, 2021. Buck was preceded in death by his mother Bonnie Faye Wright (2005), father Roosevelt Murdock (1959), and siblings Michael Maurice Wright (1999), Starri Lorraine Wright (2012), Sharon Murdock (1997), and Marcellus Murdock (2005).

Buck went to school in the Sparkman school system until the family moved to Benton Harbor, MI where he attended school there. Later, he traveled to Milwaukee, WI where he began his career as a cook under the tutelage of his Uncle Leon Keith. Buck was legendary for his Swedish meatballs and sweet pea salad. He proudly volunteered every year as the Keith and Wright's Family reunion grill master.

Buck was the life of any gathering. He was notorious for his quotes that anyone who heard them will never forget. He was for sure to be the center of attention on the dance floor.

Buck never met a stranger, and he met many people during his lifetime, but friends that were near and dear to his heart were Claude Dickerson, Terry Hughes, Sr., Daniel (Button) Austin, James (Duck) Craig, and David Hall.

Buck never had children, but he cared for his cousins Prentiss and LaClayton (Boyer) Hunter as if they were his own.

He leaves to cherish with a special place in their hearts his brothers, George Wright (Palistine) of Little Rock, AR and Stacey Cross, of Searcy, AR; sisters, Zonder Hall and Cheryl Ross both of Sparkman AR, and Jo Ann Wright of Arkadelphia, AR. Three aunts, Marion (Roy)Salley of Bearden, AR, Jolene Green of Arkadelphia, AR, and Edna Hunter of Dallas, TX. Two uncles, Rev. Eddie (Mary) Wright of Benton Harbor, MI, and Rev. Danet Wright of Arkadelphia, AR. He also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends
