Gennie B. Payne, answered the called of the Lord on Tuesday Dec. 6, 2011 at Baptist Health Medical Center, Little Rock Arkansas.
She was born September 3, 1936 in Okolona, Arkansas the daughter of the late John Stephens and Sarah Harvell. She was a homemaker and a member of Springlake Missionary Baptist Church in Helena, Arkansas.
She leave to charish her loving memories four sons, Lee Rogers Payne, Jr. (Thelma) of Henderson, NV; Edwin Payne (Regena) of Alexander, VA; Shawn Payne (Stephanie) of West Helena, AR; and Kenneth McDaniel (Brenda) of Antoine, AR; three daughters, Willette Fullard (Vincent) of Colorado Springs, CO; Dannette Davison of Salaco, Afghanistan; and Chandra Payne of Little Rock, AR; two sisters, Dorothy Harrington of Little Rock, AR; and Mary Floyd of Seattle, WA; two special sons, Michael Perry (Hilka) of Chantilly, VA; and Bobby Charles Gentry (Pat) of Boston, MA; one special daughter, Angela Wood (Stephen) of Bryant, AR; sixteen grandchildren two great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Funeral service will be held Sunday Dec. 11, 2011 at First Baptist Church, Okolona, Arkansas at 1:00 P.M. where Rev. Larry Mitchell is the Pastor and Rev. Rufus Hatley officiating.
Burial will be in Okolona cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Saturday from 12 noon to 6:00 P. M.
