Our Heavenly Father saw fit to call Hubert Henderson Bivins home on June 27, 2025, at his home in Little Rock, AR. His life reminds us that life is uncertain, but death is sure.
Hurbert held many nicknames, “Jimmy”, and “Jenie Boy” were the most popular names called by numerous friends and family. “Jenie Boy” as he was affectionately called, began his life’s journey on December 28, 1949, in Sparkman, AR. He was born to the union of Richard Henderson and Ollie V. Allen. He was a graduate of Sparkman High School and accepted Christ at an early age. Later in adulthood, Jimmy became a member of St. James Church in Sparkman, AR. He loved being outdoors. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, playing baseball and basketball. He was a hard worker for 35 plus years, employed by Ronnie Hogg Logging as a logger.
“Jimmy’s” passing leaves a great void in the lives of those who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard Henderson and Ollie V. Bivins Allen; grandparents, Wade and Carrie Bivins; daughter, Karen Louise Bivins; and sister, Leslie M. Jackson.
He leaves behind, his wife, Clarice Henderson, of Sparkman, AR; his children, Brandy Moore of Arkadelphia, AR, Constance Henderson (Warren), of Little Rock, AR, Bruce Berry (Carolyn), of Bearden, AR, Lisa Reedy (Vernon), of Sparkman, AR, and Britt D. Buckley, of Arkadelphia, AR; his siblings, Shirley Kidd (LeRoy) of Little Rock, AR, Andrew Allen, Jr., of Carthage, AR, Ceartha Henderson, of Little Rock, AR, Ronald Henderson (Kathy), of Detroit, Michigan, Johnny Allen (Angel), of Carthage, AR; Rachel Henderson, of Detroit, Michigan; his heart, Malaysia Buckley; eleven grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended relatives, and numerous friends.
Funeral services are Saturday, July 5, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church in Sparkman, AR where Rev. Louis A. Craig is pastor and will serve as eulogist. Visitation will be at the church 1 hour prior to service time on Saturday. Burial and final resting place will be at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Sparkman, AR following services.
