Irean May, age 85 of Gurdon, AR, passed on Monday, September 3, 2018, at Courtyard Gardens Rehabilitation Center in Arkadelphia, AR in her 85th season of life. She was born on November 16, 1932, in Beirne, AR to Jerry Tidwell and Jewel Lockett- Tidwell. She was a housekeeper and a member of Eastern Star Baptist Church in Smithton, AR. She leaves to cherish her sweet memory: Special friend, Charlie Jones of Arkadelphia, AR; 3 daughters, Bobbie Young and Charlene Stephens both of Gurdon, AR and Emma Johnson of Redwood City, CA; 2 sons, Billy Wiley and Johnny Wiley both of Hot Springs, AR; 3 sisters, Beatrice (Elder Claudie) Beard of Arkadelphia, AR, Vester McDaniel of Houston, TX, Queen Ester Deloach of Detroit, MI; 2 brothers, Oscar (Tammy) Tidwell of Arkadelphia, AR and Robert (Jewel) Tidwell of Batesville, AR; 1 foster sister, Linda (Lee) Johnson of Arkadelphia, AR; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and friends. Funeral services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home in Arkadelphia, AR. Public visitation will be Friday, September 14, 2018 at Mitchell Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 7:00 P.M. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Funeral Services will be Saturday, September 15, 2018, at Davis Memorial Church of God In Christ in Arkadelphia, AR at 1:00 P.M. where Elder Benny Johnson is pastor and will serve as Eulogist. Committal and Final resting place will be at Rose Hedge Cemetery in Gurdon, AR.
