On August 1, 2007, in Ventura, CA, a beautiful, bubbly baby girl was born to Jacobe Hale, Sr. and Sabrina Cole. This little girl was the light of everyone who knew and loved her eyes. Her parents named her, Jabria Corenthia Hale.
Jabria was born with a rare metabolic disorder and so her family was told from the beginning that the journey of her little life would be a difficult and short one. Jabria, however, had other plans. She seemed determined to surpass the odds.
Jabria attended Loudon Elementary school where she loved all her teachers and classmates. She made friends with any and everyone she met. She later transferred to McAuliffe Elementary where she enjoyed most of her days sharing bags of potato chips with her teacher Mrs. Powell and talking about her dog Jelly Bean. “Mrs. Powell is the best teacher ever”, Jabria would say.
Bria, as her friends and family called her, enjoyed art and watching Chipmunks and Spongebob. She could recite Spongebob episodes from start to finish. Her favorite singer was Michael Jackson and she absolutely loved to dance to his music.
On Tuesday, September 19, 2017, at the age of 10, this sweet little angel was called home to rest. Bria was a vibrant child. Even through all her struggles, she managed a smile. Her family was so proud of the strength she displayed through her difficult times. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Jabria’s passing was preceded by her late Uncle Willie “Zero” Collins. Jabria leaves to cherish her precious memories: her parents, Jacobe J. Hale, Sr. of Okolona, AR and Sabrina D. Cole of Bakersfield, CA; three brothers, Sean P. Biggs, Jr. of Bakersfield, CA, Jacobe J. Hale, Jr. and Jayden A. Hale both of Okolona, AR; one sister, Jayla I.
