James Stephenson Obituary

On June 23, 1979, James Curtis Stephenson was born in El Dorado, AR to the proud parents, Votieo“ Bo” Cross and Mary Lee Smith.

James was a graduate of Hampton High School where he excelled in Football and Baseball. After High School James attended trade school and mastered a skill in the automotive technician program. He also attended CR England Trucking School where he completed and received his CDL.

James attended church at Life Line COGIC in Rosston, AR and Shiloh COGIC in Stamps, AR.

In 2001 he met his love, Jozelyn Smith- Stephenson and they wed in 2002. To this union two children, Jamason and Jaciya were born. James had a love for his family and many friends. His favorite things to do were fishing, hunting, and keeping up with his All-Star team, the Denver Broncos. James was an assistant football coach for the Mountain Pine Peewee Athletics Department.

On Monday morning, September 14, 2020 the vibrant life of James Curtis Stephenson came to an untimely end. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Those waiting for him in heaven include: his parents, and grandparents. Those left to cherish his memory include, the light of his life, wife, Jozelyn Stephenson, of Mountain Pine, AR; his loving children, Jamason and Jaciya Stephenson, both of Mountain Pine, AR; Six sisters, Mary Stephenson, Roxie Ann Cambron, and Jennifer Cross all of Hampton, AR, Shern Hill (Lawrence), of Eldorado, AR, Mary Ann High Smith, of Malvern, AR,  and Diana Ann Cross of Fordyce, AR,; two brothers, Michael Stephenson and Gary Cross, both of Hampton, AR and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws and a multitude of friends.
