John Paul Hale

John Paul Hale was born on November 12, 1952, to Willie James Hale and Flossie Dell Hale of Okolona, AR. He was the third child of nine children born to this blessed union. At an early age, John gave his life to Christ and joined First Baptist Church of Okolona.

John was a 1971 graduate of Okolona High School. Upon graduation, he enlisted in the United States Army and served his country valiantly until 1982 when he was honorably discharged.

John was united in holy matrimony to Sondra Baugher. This union was blessed with two children and one stepdaughter. Although their marriage ended, the love for their children never changed.

Mr. John Paul Hale peacefully departed this life in the early morning of January 25, 2018, at Kindred Hospital, Houston, TX. He went to join in Heaven his parents (Willie James and Flossie Hale); and three siblings (Lisa, James, and Sandra Hale).

He leaves to carry on his legacy three children: one daughter, Tamra Hale, one son, John Paul Hale, II, and one step-daughter, Debra Mathews, all of Fort Meyers, FL; five siblings, Maude Hale, Robert Hale, and Ronald Hale, all of Houston, TX, Donald Hale (Doris) of Beaumont, TX, and Darren Hale (Leilani) of Los Angeles, CA; thirteen grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Also left to cherish his memory is his fiance and companion, Paula Alinece of Missouri City, TX.

John was a very kind and caring Father, brother, son, and friend. He would help anyone in need and was a devoted friend for many years to Frank Anthony and Richard Talley.

Funeral services will be Saturday, February 3, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. at First Baptist Church Okolona in Okolona, AR where Rev. John A. Hill is Pastor and REv. Rufus Hatley will serve as officiant and eulogist. Burial will be at First Baptist Okolona cemetery.
