Josie Phine Russell of Camden, Arkansas departed this life Sunday, March 17, 2013 at 8:18 P. M. at Ouachita Medical Center in Camden, Arkansas.
She was born July 13, 1935 to the late Alfred and Maggie Golden. She resided at the Pine Hills Health and Rehabilitation Center, 900 Magnolia Road in Camden. Mrs. Russell was married to the late Jerry Johnson of Camden and to this union four children were born, one of which preceded her in death. Later in life she met and married the late Billy Joe Russell, there were no children from this union. She was a member of the St. Clair Baptist Church in Okolona, Arkansas.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Dorothy Parrish of Lacy. WA; and Mae Atkins of Camden, AR; one son Jerry Johnson, Jr. of Malvern, AR; five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, one aunt of Mineral Springs, AR; a host of cousins, nephews, nieces and close friends.
Services will be held March 23, at 1:00 P.M. at St. Clair Baptist Church Okolona, Arkansas where Rev. Derrick Newburn is the Pastor and Rev. Rufus Hatley is Officiating and Eulogist.
Burial and final resting place will be at St. Clair Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell
Funeral Home. Visitation is Friday from 12 noon to 7 P.M.
