"I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing."
2 Timothy 4:7-8
Lawrence Edward House, Jr. was born March 10, 1963 to Lawrence Edward House, Sr. and Erma Jean Green House in Arkadelphia, AR. Lawrence, more affectionately known as "Junior", departed this life on Monday, December 21, 2015, at Desert Valley Hospital, Victorville, California, at 2:25 p.m.
After moving to Los Angeles at a young age, "Junior" was baptized and united with New Life Baptist Church, under the leadership of Reverend Ellis Ross, where he was active in the youth choir and attended Sunday school regularly. After his return to Ontario, California, Junior attended the Ontario Christian Center.
Junior was educated in the Los Angeles School District where he attended Wadsworth Elementary School, John Adams Junior High School and graduated from James Monroe High School in 1981. An avid sports fan, Junior excelled in sports-especially football. Although a fierce competitor on the field, Junior had a soft heart for family and friends- a bond once created, lasted his lifetime. After graduating from high school, Junior moved back to Arkadelphia where he was employed by International Paper Company, and he assisted his grandfather, the late Reverend Raymond Green, Sr. with the construction of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Antoine, Arkansas.
Junior began his career as a CDL driver while working for Kellogg's in California, for approximately 25 years. Although he had a demanding job, his role as a devoted/doting father took center stage in his life. Fatherhood ,metamorphasized Junior from the boy that he was, to the man that we now honor.
Junior is preceded in death by his grandparents, Reverend H.R. "Raymond" and Mary M. "Mason" Green. He leaves to remember his life and legacy one daughter, Breanna House of Rialto, CA; three sons, Lawrence DeAndre House of Rialto, CA, Brandon and Brian House of Riverside, CA; his beloved mother, Erma Jean Green House of Arkadelphia, AR; father, Lawrence House, Sr., of Arkadelphia, AR; one brother, Daymond House of Arkadelphia, AR; three sisters; Syleshia House, Stella (Paul) Hale both of Arkadelphia, AR and Deanna (Rick) Frank of Katy, TX.
