On October 16, 1942, Lawrence Edward House, Sr. was born to the late Huey Lee House and Ethel Marie Williams Fuller in the Manchester Community in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. He was his mother’s only child. Lawrence accepted Christ as his personal savior as a little boy and united with the Manchester Church of God in Christ, where he remained a member until his passing.

Shortly after graduating high school, he would later enlist in the United States Army. Afterward, he was able to fulfill his love of travel and call many places home, which include not only Arkansas but California and Virginia as well. While living in Arkansas, Lawrence was employed by General Brakes in Gum Springs.
