Liddie Mae Gill was born to the late Jesse and Lillie Young Gill in Okolona, Arkansas on December 10, 1927. After 84 years she departed from this life on September 5, in Baptist Medical Center, Arkadelphia.
She accepted Christ at an early age and united with First Baptist Church of Okolona, Arkansas. Later she moved her membership to the St. Clair Baptist Church of Burtsell where she sreved faithful on the Usher board until her health failed. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Liddie was a retired employee of Hill Crest Nursing Home.
She leaves to forever cherish the memories of her life three sons, Henry Gill of Anchorage AK; Jerry Wayne Gill of Hope, AR; and Luster Gill of Arkadelphia, AR; a daughter, Clara Woodall of Savannah, GA; four brothers, Bernie Young of Ozan, AR; Sammy Young of Ashdown, AR; Jesse Young of Las Vegas, NV; and Charlie Young of Prescott, AR; three sisters, Lillie Mae Smith of Mineral Springs, AR; Ivorie Miller of Arkadelphia, AR, and Katie Richmond of Santa Marie, CA; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Funeral service will be held Friday September 14, at 1:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church, Okolona where Rev. Larry D. Mitchell is Pastor and Rev. D. R. Crossley Officiating. Burial and final resting place will be in the First Baptist Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
