Marion G. Hill

Marion Grady Hill was born on September 15, 1940, to Eli and Zeola Hill in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. In 1945, he started school through 1957 in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, where he finished high school, graduating from Peak High. After graduation, M.G. moved to California. Shortly thereafter, he met Dorothy Hopkins. In 1968, they got married and became one in Holy Matrimony. They had two sons, Ray Allen, then in 1972, they had Hiram Hill. He started working for General Motors in 1964. After having their second son, they bought a home in Compton, CA, where they lived until 1983. He transferred to General Motors in Oklahoma City, where he retired in 2007 after 43 years of dedicated service.

 Marion passed away on Tuesday, April 6, 2021, at SSM Health St. Anthony Hospital- Midwest in Midwest City, OK. He was in his 80th season of a life well-lived. He was preceded in death by his mom and dad; his wife, Dorothy Hill, and three brothers: J.W. and Zeder Hill, Eli Clydell, Phemis Hill. He leaves behind, two sons, Ray Allen and Hiram Hill, both of Spencer, OK; brother, Levi Hill of Oklahoma City, OK; three sisters: Mary Bullock of New Jersey, Katherine Davis of Illinois, and Bobbie Washington of Illinois; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 17, 2021, at 11:00 A.M. at Restoration Worship Center in Oklahoma City, OK under the direction of Howard Harris Funeral Home of Oklahoma City, OK. The Committal and final resting place will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in JoAnn, AR on Tuesday, April 27, 2021, under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia, AR.
