Remembering Nathan Lee Owens
The life of Nathan “Nate” Lee Owens came to a close on January 22, 2025. A beloved son, brother, father, and friend. Nathan will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Born August 5, 1968, in Little Rock, Arkansas. Nathan attended Arkadelphia High School and graduated with the class of 1987. He worked at Petite Jean Poultry for some time. Nathan lived a life full of purpose. He was caring and always there when you needed him.
Nate had a very infectious laugh! You could pick his laugh out in a crowd. His laughter was a gift to all who knew him. He was selfless and would give you the shirt off his back.
Nathan was preceded in death by his parents, Elder Joe Willis Owens and Mother Rosie Jean (Gannaway) Owens.
He leaves to cherish his memories: one son, De’vante Booker of Hot Springs, AR; two brothers, John Owens of Virginia and Derick Owens of Arkadelphia, AR; two sisters, Jean Jackson of Layfayette, CA, and La’Quinta Owens, of Arkadelphia, AR; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Though he is no longer with us, his love and spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him.
Memorial services are under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home of Arkadelphia. Services will be at the Community Family Enrichment Center, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. with Supt. LeRoy WIlliams serving as officiant. Burial will be in Harmony Cemetery in Sparkman, AR. The online guestbook is available online to sign at www.mitchellfuneralservices.com
