On November 2, 1942, Robbie L. Williams began her life's journey in Whelen Springs, Arkansas the daughter of Ruthie Dickens and Adelle Porter. Later on in life, she was adopted and raised by Dan and Lois Mae Dickens.
In her early adulthood, she joined the Holly Grove Baptist Church. Later she moved to Okolona, where she moved her membership to First Baptist Church Okolona.
Robbie spent her formative school years in Whelen Springs and Gurdon, Arkansas. It was there where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Claude Mack Williams. Robbie became the proud mother of 5 wonderful children. She loved her family and as a single parent she successfully raised and instilled in them the value of life, strength and the fear of God.
Robbie was known for her quick wit and sense of humor. She was an excellent cook and maintained bragging rights on how to make good tasting "chicken and dressing"!
Robbie was no stranger to hard work, putting her skills to use in housekeeping, cooking, and being an outstanding caregiver. She became a CNA working for many years and later began a career with the State of Arkansas at the Human Development Center in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. Robbie retired from the State of Arkansas in 2007. As her health condition changed, eventually she moved to Senior Living at Levi Towers in Hot Springs, Arkansas and attended Macedonia Baptist Church.
Over the last few years Robbie rededicated her life to Christ and one could spend hours with her talking about the goodness of her "Good Lord". Through all of her health challenges, she could always give God the glory and praise of "taking her through" it all. She resided in Hot Springs until the Lord called her home on March 5, 2014.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Claude Mack Williams; sons Claude "Pete" and Alfred Williams; granddaughter, Takia Williams.
She leaves to cherish her precious memory: a daughter, Jeanette (Terrence) Taylor-Mayhorn of Sacramento, CA; Willis (Helen) of Flint, MI; and Stevie (Regina) Williams of Hot Springs, AR; two grandsons, Teddy D'Andre Brown (Faith) of Las Vegas, NV and Darnell Williams of Benton, AR; two granddaughters, Kyerra Williams of Virginia and Alia Williams of Arkadelphia, AR; four great-grandchildren; Teddy Brown Jr, Essense Brown, LaNieya Coleman and Landon Chase Williams; two daughter-in-laws, Rosemary Jones Williams and Lois Ann Williams-Ware. She also loved and claimed as her own grandchildren, Dedric Jones of Delight, AR, Rob Ousley, Treanna (Chris) Ousley, and Shameka Ousley all of Hot Springs, AR. "Sista-Friend", Mrs. Martha Anderson of almost fifty years , "SistaFriend-Cousin", Mrs. Clea Dickens Stephens and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends.
Special thanks to her friends at Levi Towers who were there with her to the end.
