Ruby Dickerson passed this life into eternal glory on June 22, 2013 at Brookside Rehabilitation Center, Little Rock, Arkansas. Ruby was born August 17, 1933 to Oliver and Maebell Hunter Bailey whom both preceded her in death. She also had three brothers and four sisters that preceded her in death.
Ruby received her education at Lakeview Elementary and Peake High School in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She was a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church, baptized by Reverend Barnes.
She met and married Jessie James Dickerson in Arkadelphia, AR. They later moved to Flint, Michigan where she served as an administrative assistant for many years. Several years later they retired back to the Holly Grove, AR. There were no children born to this union.
Ruby was an Eastern Star member of the Holly Grove Chapter No. 387 located at Okolona, AR.
After the death of her husband Jessie, she later relocated to Little Rock, AR. She became a member of Covenant of Zion Cathedral where she attended faithfully until her health would no longer allow her.
She leaves to cherish her memory: one brother, James Bailey of Oakland, CA., four sister in laws, a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Mitchell Funeral Home Chapel Friday, June 28, 2013 at 11 a.m. Words of comfort will be given by Rev. L.A. Craig. Burial and final resting place is Centerpoint Cemetary. Under direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
