Wallace Leon Mitchell

Wallace Leon Mitchell, 87, of Curtis, was called home to glory on Wednesday, November 5, 2014 in Baptist Medical Center. He was born July 10, 1927 the Son of the late Virgil and Eather Mitchell.

Wallace was a Veteran of the navy and a member of Mt. Friendship Baptist Church at Curtis.

Survivors include his loving wife Josephine Mitchell; three brothers, Theoplis Mitchell of Lansing, Michigan, Wayne Mitchell of Victorville, California, and Virgil Mitchell, Jr. of Mountain Pine; six sisters, Mildred Holland and Sandra Brim both of Curtis, Snowrene Henry of Diamondale, Michigan, Everlene Kenney, Yvonne Harris and Cozetta Duncan all of Lansing, Michigan.

Funeral Services will be Monday, November 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at the Mt. Friendship Baptist Church at Curtis with Rev. Earl Graham II officiating. Burial will be in Curtis Cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Visitation will be Sunday, November 9, 2014 from 5pm-6pm.
