Willie B. Bailey Piggee was born on November 26, 1951 in
Okolona, Arkansas to the late R.B. and Cora Mae Bailey. She was the youngest of five children.
As a child and young adult, she found Christ early on in life and attended the First Baptist Church of Okolona, Arkansas. She attended school and graduated from Simmons High School in 1971. Later, she met and married Henry Clay Piggee and unto this union two children were born, Martha and Shaniqua Piggee.
The family later moved to Dallas, Texas. Mrs. Willie Piggee became a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church for a number of years. She later placed her membership with her family at the East Side Church of God In Christ. Mother Piggee was a faithful member until our Lord and Savior called her home to have eternal rest.
Mother Willie B. Piggee enjoyed spending time with her family and church members. She will be greatly missed and forever an irreplaceable treasure in our hearts.
Mrs. Willie B. Piggee was preceded in death by her parents, R.B. and Cora Mae Bailey. Her memories will forever be cherished by her husband, Henry C. Piggee, and her two daughters, Martha Williams of Hutchins, TX and Shaniqua Piggee of Dallas, TX. She leaves a legacy to her two grandchildren, DaQuan McClendon of Nashville, TN and Arnaz Williams of Hutchins, TX and one Great grandson, Cay'den Williams. She is fondly remembered by her siblings; two brothers, Otis Bailey and Lonnie (Alice) Bailey both of Chicago, IL; three sisters, Bobbie Isaac of Summit, IL, Berneice Burns and Carolyn Campbell both of Chicago, IL. She also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and extended relatives.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Okolona, AR. Supt. F.G. Sowells, Pastor of East Side Church of God in Christ in Dallas, TX will be the eulogist. Visitation will be Friday, January 22, 2016 from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Mitchell Funeral Home. Burial will be at First Baptist Cemetery in Okolona under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home.
