Willie Stuart, age 74 of Arkadelphia, Arkansas formerly of Hope, Arkansas departed this life on Saturday, January 28, 2012 after an extended stay at the National Park Medical Center, Hot Springs, Arkansas. He was born January 27, 1938 in Hope, Arkansas to Tom and Mrs. Callie Crockett Stuart.
Willie graduated from Henry C. Yerger High School as a member of the seventy-first Graduating Class. After graduating from high school, he served in the United States Army and attained the rank of Sargeant. Willie was not afraid of work. He worked for many years at Wire Products, Champion and Firestone Bridgestone.
While living in Hope, Willie joined Mt. Zion CME Church and was a faithful member until he moved to Arkadelphia, Arkansas. On May 30, 1990, Willie joined into Holy Matrimony with Paulette Ross.
Willie was a homebody. His favorite pastimes were raising grandkids and reading catalogs at the kitchen table.
Preceding him in death were his parents: brother, Albert and sister-in-law Dorothy Stuart.
He leave to cherish his memories his wife of 21 years, Paulette Ross Stuart, stepson, John McKinney, of Arkadelphia, AR; two daughters, Diana (Donald) Eason and Felicia (Anthony) Giles of Denton, TX; and a stepdaughter, Shannon (Ernest Sr.) Young of Arkadelphia, AR; three sisters, Wadie Morrison and Laureda Allen of Flint, MI; and Arneatta (James) Perry of Stockton, CA; two brothers-in-laws, John (Helen) Ross and Ronnie Jones and one sister-in-laws, Daphne Bailey. Pawpaw leaves twelve beloved grandchildren and host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral service will be Friday at 1:00 P.M. at the Brandon's Mortuary Chapel 2912 Highway 29 North Hope, Arkansas. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery at Hope under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home, Arkadelphia.
Visitation is Thursday 12 noon to 7:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
