Winona D. Stokes

Winona Damita Stokes was born August 20, 1965 to Whitney and Gladys Stokes in Bridgeport, Connecticut.

Winona accepted Christ at an early age with the membership of Messiah Baptist Church of Bridgeport, Connecticut. She graduated from Central High School in Bridgeport in 1983. She moved to Malvern, Arkansas in 2003.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Whitney and Gladys Stokes, one brother and one sister.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory one brother, Allen Paul Stokes; one sister, Patsy Collins both of Malvern Arkansas; four nephews, Rocky (Helen) Stitt and Whitney Watkins of Malvern AR; Anthony (Robin) Walkins of Hot Springs, AR; Earl Lee of Bridgeport, CT; one neice, Leslie Lee of Bridgeport, CT; and a host of cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be Saturday Oct. 1, at 12:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church Rockport in Malvern, AR with Dr. J. N. McCollum Pastor/Officate and Rev. Anthony Watkins Jr. as Eulogist.

Burial will be in Perla Gate cemetery under the direction of Mitchell Funeral Home. Visitation is Firday 10:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Mitchell Funeral Home.
